Abstract In conflict studies, environmental peacebuilding (EPB) has become an established concept to explain how cooperation among opposing parties provides a platform for peacebuilding. EPB literature been shaped predominantly by political science perspectives, initially with focus on interstate conflicts, and ecological dynamics have received little attention date. Building the Social-Ecological Systems Framework (SESF), we develop framework community-based test it in post-conflict settings department of Cesar, Colombia. We use qualitative mixed-methods approach, 26 semi-structured interviews, six group discussions, World Café session 30 participants. Our findings show that cases communities self-organize access, conserve, defend water land resources while striving achieve recognition their civic rights state actors. A central outcome within is (re)construction collective territorial identities increased social cohesion. However, does not contribute improving relations between private sector or state, thus failing strengthen actor relationships are essential Colombian Despite limitations this exploratory analysis, our approach proves fruitful integrating aspects understanding EPB. To further concept, future research should look other disciplines diversify key terms like resource value, cooperation, peace.

متن کاملFeeding sources and natural infection of Belminus herreri (Hemiptera, Reduviidae, Triatominae) from dwellings in Cesar, Colombia.
Belminus herreri, originally described from specimens collected in Panama, was considered entirely silvatic until to 2000 when it was found for the first time in a domestic habitat in Colombia. In 2001, during a new search of houses in the Department of Cesar, Colombia, 121 specimens were collected. Study of their feeding sources using an ELISA test revealed that 96% of these specimens had fed ...
متن کاملConceptualizing environmental governance on the GBM basin
Introduction to the problem complexity The natural water mostly used in the South Asian region comes from the Ganges– Brahmaputra–Meghna (GBM)1 river basin. The four South Asian countries Bangladesh, Nepal, India and Bhutan are sharing the largest river basin of the world together. China is also part of this GBM delta, nevertheless, it only shares the Brahmaputra along with Bhutan, India and Ba...
متن کاملCommunity - Based Metadata Integration for Environmental Research
The ability to aggregate information about environmental data and analysis processes across tools and services and across projects provides a powerful capability for discovering resources and coordinating projects and a means to convey the rich, community-scale context of data. In this paper, we summarize the science and engineering use cases motivating the metadata and provenance infrastructur...
